OH, talking about pacifiers. desiree thought of a really cool oxymoron- PACIFIC WAR. oh smart one, yeahh. and there's indefinitely forever.. come to think of it, 'definitely maybe'- oasis' album was it? sometime ago? that was what started the whole craze.
hmm. i think im gettin tired of oxymorons. but i did wonder how they came up with it. i used to imagine a guy in a hospital ward, with a tube coming out of his nose, and him half- delirious and saying stupid stuff. oxygenated moron?
ah, now i sound like a callous meanie. ANYWAY. oxymoron, noun use of neut. of oxymoros (adj.) "pointedly foolish," from oxys "sharp" (see acrid) + moros "stupid." pretty cool huh (: if you have nothing better to do, check this out. online etymology dictionary. i tried my name, and DRATS. nothing, but i guess you could try yours.. though what comes out might not be uh -snigger- very flattering. interesting nonetheless.
