BAND CONCERT LAST NIGHT ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!
WELL DONE BAND GIRLS!!!!!!!
granted, there were a few squeakies here and there, but the band did its best at the low parts, like the hunchback of notre dame part.. it was BEAUTIFUL. that was definitely my favourite song:)

my ticket! see, nice number- 181 (:
but the usher ripped off the other bit :/
met dan, beverly, dawn and mush at city hall, everybody was so dressed up! then mush saw me, and she went-"finally, someone normal." cos apparently i looked like i was going to orchard. WHYYYY? beats me. but i put on a shawl, so i dressed it up! yeah..
dan treated me to a starbucks caramel frappy! yumm.then after that i was too full to eat. so when we went BK, i wanted a side order, but the lady gave me a friggin MEAL! lucky it was the kids' one so at least i got a toy. the ice-age weasel things. push a button and they go round and round forever.. wheee :) mush got a tap thing that had Sid.i love sid- he reminds me of me!
we cabbed to VCH from raffles city, but we could have WALKED there! arhhh, oh well. which reminds me- mush, bev and dawn; you owe me $ka-ching$.haha, O$P$. then dan paid the driver, we got out and she dropped the coins on the road! silly girl bent down to pick em up and TWO taxis zoomed past her head! omg, i was damn scared for her.
went in and met celine, jean and their friends. sat in the fifth or so row. jean and celine were sitting so far back! so we made them move.-grins-
then THEY came in. all the sec threes stood up to see them lah! whoa, grand entrance please.
finally the concert started with Orpheus in the Underworld. yay, i know this story! greek myth- bout this poor guy whose wife died and was claimed by hades -greek god of death. so he went down to get her back, and hades let her go; but if orpheus looked back while they were still climbing out of hell, then his wife was gone forever. (seriously, you'd think mrs orpheus would have objecting to being tossed around like a hot potato) ANYWAY, orpheus looked back, (why why why why????) and she went POOF, back to hades.
sheesh, so tragic.
so the song was really lively and there was this part with the can-can, and the conductor coat-tails were flapping. then dan whispered to me:
"so cute! i want my boyfreind's tux to be like that at our wedding too!" hmm, since the rest of the world looks horrible in them; you've gotta marry a conductor dear..
then there was chorale and jubiloso, dragonstea din tei (YES, the chicken little song) and the hunchback of notre dame. i LOVE LOVE LOVE that song. it was damn shiok, especially the first part. (in Disney's version. that's the part where quasimodo's mother is running away from frodo, and pleads sanctuary in the cathedral.)the band played it FANTASTICALLY!
after the interval, there were pieces by the different ensembles. the flautists were so cute! they did ragtime and they were sorta dancing. then there was the tekomai songs, ave maria, selections from Disney's Fantasia and Tsubai O Kudasai( i'd wish for wings). for encore, they played YMCA! , who let the dogs out and other songs which i can't remember. but the concert rocked.
omly grumble i have is that people kept talkin. arhhhh. also, cos i like to close my eyes when i listen to music, my well-meaning friends kept poking me to see if i was still breathing. aiiieee. thanks you guys, but don't do that anymore please.
then we waited for dan's parents to come, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT DEAR!!!! then they sent me home. on the way, Uncle took some ulu road and then he was telling us about the pretty faceless girls there who stop and ask you for a ride and banana trees, until Auntie told him to stop scaring us. haha, dan- ur parents are damn cute :D then we passed the French embassy, which is HUGE. i wanna be a french ambassador toooo...
sigh, if there were a few moments in my life i would want to relive.. this would be one of them..
